Founded in 1975, The Institute of Culinary Education is one of the most active culinary school in New York City. From
culinary career programs to recreational cooking classes, ICE's menu is vast. In 2008, ICE won the IACP Award of Excellence, an honor which recognized ICE as one of America's top culinary schools.

Culinary Careers

At the core of ICE are our 7-11 month diploma programs in
Culinary Arts, Pastry Arts and Culinary Management. Graduates include top chefs, leading restaurateurs, successful caterers and award winning pastry experts. New courses start monthly and the school provides on-going job placement assistance. Come see why New York Restaurant Insider Magazine named ICE as one of the nation's best culinary schools.

Recreational Cooking Classes
ICE runs over 1500, one to five session cooking classes. From Advanced Seafood to Indian regional cuisine, chocolate classes and wine tastings, we offer tasty education for cooks at all levels. The typical class is hands-on, lasts four or more hours and is limited to 14-16 people.

Continuing Education
For culinary professionals with an interest in areas including advanced Pastry Arts,
Food Media or to have their own restaurant, ICE's continuing education classes are ideal.

Private Cooking Events
ICE's Special Events Division offers
private cooking classes for groups from 15 to 75 people. Special cooking events are ideal for team building, entertaining and personal celebrations.
