ICE® students, alumni, instructors and NYC chefs in the UN kitchen On APRIL 4, the United Nation's Association of the USA held a fundraising dinner at the UN for their Adopt-a-Minefield campaign. ICE® student volunteers with Gala honrary chair On NOVEMBER 7, 2007 Action Against Hunger USA held a fundraising benefit at Capitale that raised over $1.2 million dollars for the groups' international hunger relief efforts. For the 4th year, the Institute of Culinary Education served as the event's culinary coordinator. Along with Gramercy Tavern Chef Michael Anthony, ICE® planned, provided, and cooked the gala's meal. On MAY 28, 2002, one of America's most famous and beloved TV chefs, Sara Moulton, visited the school. Chef Moulton, host of Cooking Live and Sara's Secrets on the Television Food Network, talked about her career, cooking, teaching, and television to an audience of career students, and members of the New York Association of Culinary Professionals.

In addition to her work on the Food Network, Chef Moulton is a correspondent food editor for ABC's Good Morning America, and executive chef for Gourmet Magazine. Before all this, in 1984 and 1985, Sara Moulton was an instructor at The Institute of Culinary Education (when it was named Peter Kump's New York Cooking School)!

On APRIL 2, 2002, Food & Wine Magazine arranged for some of America's most highly regarded chefs to cook at ICE® in preparation for the annual Food & Wine Best New Chefs Awards. Below are scenes form the day. ICE® students helped cook during the day, and volunteered to work at the event that night.

St. Vincent's Hospital On APRIL 26, 2002, the Allagash Brewing Company held the finals of their "Cooking With Beer" contest. St. Vincent's Hospital On FEBRUARY 5, 2002, ICE® hosted the finals of the second national Tabasco Cook & Ladder Competition, a recipe contest for firefighters. Dan Rinaldi of Cranston, Rhode Island (middle in photo) was the winner with his "Firehouse Fra Diavilo."

School Jam 1998 Winners The School's winning team in Food & Wine magazine's 1998 "School Jam". The three participating schools were The Institute (then known as Peter Kump's), The New England Culinary Institute and The French Culinary Institute.

Our school also won top place in the year 2000 and 2001 competitions.
